A group of teenagers and randy adults have turned an estate library into a ‘sex den’. Readers at the library have say they have witnessed many ‘sex scenes’ at the Buruburu National Library. The library that is always full attracts hundreds of students and adults from the estates. But that is not the case in Buru where school going children have turned public library into a sex den. A high school student said the library is always full by 9am when it opens, but some couples often have plans to have a cozy time mostly in the toilets and in between shelves.
Sources said many cases of people having sex have been reported and a few students have been expelled from the facility which is under the Kenya National Library Services but is maintained by the county government. A teenager confessed that over the last school holidays in November and December, she had sex with four different boys twice at the library. Another library user said she has caught several people at the ladies’ washrooms having sex but the library staff have not taken any action.
